About

Throughout my career I have approached technology as a systems engineer and operator, focusing on how complex platforms behave under real-world conditions rather than how they are theoretically designed to work. Early in my career I developed a reputation for recreating large-scale customer environments, stress testing architectures, and intentionally engineering failure scenarios to uncover systemic weaknesses before they surfaced in production. That habit of breaking things to understand them has remained central to how I think about technology, architecture, and innovation.

My technical background spans a broad range of domains including distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, operating systems, networking, databases, and cybersecurity architecture. Working across these layers has given me the ability to analyze technology holistically, from low-level implementation details to the strategic implications of architectural decisions. Over the years I have helped design, evaluate, and secure systems operating at massive scale, where reliability, performance, and resilience are not theoretical concerns but operational requirements.

Prior to joining Brightmind, I spent much of my career working across nearly every domain of cybersecurity and enterprise infrastructure, ultimately serving in senior architecture and engineering roles responsible for shaping security strategy and reviewing hundreds of technology solutions annually. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for what differentiates durable technology from compelling demos, and for how small technical decisions compound into long-term advantages or liabilities.

Today, as CTO of Brightmind, I bring an operator’s mindset to the investment process. I work closely with founders to evaluate technical architecture, identify genuine innovation, and pressure-test assumptions about scalability, security, and defensibility. My role is not simply to assess technology, but to engage with founders as a peer & someone who understands the complexity of building real systems and can help translate ambitious ideas into durable products.

Across every role I have held, one constant has been a commitment to mentorship and technical leadership. I believe the most meaningful impact comes not just from solving difficult problems, but from helping others understand them, challenge assumptions, and build systems that stand the test of time.
